Umbraco Codegarden 2026: Arroact's Copenhagen Experience
Some conferences leave you with a stack of business cards and a mild headache. Codegarden leaves you with something else entirely a renewed sense of why you chose this ecosystem in the first place.

This June, our CEO Ketan Garala and CTO Keyur Garala travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark, for Umbraco Codegarden 2026, the world's largest Umbraco conference, held on June 10th and 11th. As a proud Umbraco Silver Partner, being in that room wasn't just about staying updated. It was about being part of the global community that keeps Umbraco moving forward.

Day 1: Big Announcements, Bigger Energy
The opening keynote set the tone immediately. The theme running through it all: "A mature platform that developers love and businesses trust."
The announcements didn't waste time:
- Umbraco Automate: a brand-new open-source automation add-on, launched live on stage
- CMS Elements: more flexible, structured content modelling inside the CMS
- Load Balancing for Cloud: launching July 1, 2026, built for high-traffic projects that can't afford downtime
- Remote MCP on Cloud: AI tooling with built-in guardrails, keeping teams compliant and in control
- Scheduled Upgrades and a new Search experience: rounding out the roadmap
For us, the AI-focused announcements hit close to home. Watching Umbraco treat AI as a practical, governed layer not a buzzword reinforced why we recommend it to our clients.
Day 2: Community First
Day 2 was where Codegarden's real character showed. Real-world case studies, partner roundtables, and the kind of open, honest conversations about what's actually working in production that you rarely find elsewhere.
The Umbraco Awards celebrated the best work being built on the platform globally humbling and inspiring in equal measure. And the legendary Thursday dinner and show? Everything it's always promised to be.

What We're Bringing Back
- Umbraco Automate: is already on our radar for client delivery workflows
- AI inside Umbraco is ready: Remote MCP and .AI packages mean we can bring AI into client projects with confidence
- The headless roadmap is solid: ideal for clients considering composable architecture
- Partnerships built at Codegarden: have a way of turning into collaborations you didn't plan for
As Umbraco Silver Partners, Codegarden isn't just a conference for us it's how we stay sharp, stay connected, and deliver better Umbraco experiences for our clients.
